South African Birds

Here I combine my other hobby, birdwatching. I am not an expert, nor do I spend all my waking hours chasing down birds, but I do enjoy the spotting and identifying different species of birds. I have set myself the target of photographing as many of SA's birds as I can. Ultimately I'd love to have a great photo of each taken in the wild. However, for the time being I'm going with whatever I can get. The only criteria is that I must take the picture. Captive birds and only barely identifiable photos will be replaced as and when better photos are captured. Feel free to let me know if I have misidentified anything. They are sorted numerically using the numbers in Roberts' Birds of Southern Africa, Fifth Edition, 1985.
